Who Are The Elect?

Who are the elect? Those who have been predestined; The True Church and the Bride of Christ. It’s really very simple. The problem the world has in trying to explain things of the spirit using the Bible stems from not starting at the beginning. It’s impossible to fully understand the Bible without first understanding The Beginning.

The first sentence in the Bible says, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (period). Then the earth became formless and empty,... (Most Bibles have the word ‘was’ in place of the word ‘became’ with a footnote at the bottom of the page saying something to the effect that it could possibly be the word ‘became.’ For that matter, a lot of Bibles have in the footnotes what should be in the body of the written text.) The first heaven and earth ended. We are presently living in the times of the second heaven and earth.

The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the (second) world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was (in the first world), now is not, and yet will come (at the end of the second). (Revelation 17:8)

Why did the earth become formless and empty? Because of the rebellion led by Lucifer. We were all there. Some were directly involved in the rebellion, siding either with God or Lucifer. Others, in their apathy, chose not to take sides. But in doing so, they offended the Lord by not showing any support against the rebellion.

So, for the sake of the elect, those that chose to fight against Lucifer’s rebellion, God has chosen to show His mercy accordingly on the rest. Because if there were no elect, God could have wiped the entire slate of His creation completely clean and started from nothing again.

God did not reject his people, whom he foreknew. Don’t you know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah - how he appealed to God against Israel: Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to kill me? And what was God’s answer to him? I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal. So too, at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.  And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.

What then? What Israel sought so earnestly it did not obtain, but the elect did. The others were hardened. (Romans 11:2-7) Remember now, everything has all happened before, and so that the wise will understand, God has His story repeat itself over and over again. In regards to the number 7000, this number is symbolic of a perfect number; not that it’s exactly 7000, but that what-ever number it is, is perfect for the situation or circumstance. In the verse above, 7000 is referring to the elect. The opposite of the elect are the fallen angels - the Nephilim. (Rev.11:13)

For this analogy:

Picture the people in the first heaven and earth situated around God’s throne like a dart board with three circles or rings around the Bull’s Eye.

The first circle around the center is where all the trouble started. The people in this area were the ministers of the Lord; relaying God’s will to the people (His children) in the other (or outer) circles. These were the ones the Lord liked to have close to him always.

The heavenly children in the next ring included Israel, the apple of the Lord’s eye. They made up one-third of God’s children. Today this ring would consist of all the nations of the free world; the nations governed by Western Civilization.

Then, the outer-most ring was comprised of the Gentiles (nations other than Israel). I don’t think that it’s any coincidence that the children of earth are the third group from the throne of God, just as the earth is the third planet from the sun.

Now take that dart board and figuratively cut it right in half.

At the throne were two guardian cherubims: Michael and Lucifer. I believe these were the two angels represented on the Ark of the Covenant.

In the first circle are the Nephilim and the elect. The elect are not counted in the three thirds of God’s children. The Nephilim refuse to live in the flesh (become mortal or to be born from above). The elect have been split into two groups; the priests of Israel and the kings of the Gentiles. A group within the elect are called the remnant. The elect will all live on the earth in the flesh in the last moments of time in the second earth. The remnant have lived and died prior to the last moments of time; throughout history to write the Bible and to pass on the torch of Truth through the generations. For example, both Martin Luther of the Protestants and Martin Luther King Jr. of the civil rights movement could be considered as part of that group called the remnant, not to mention all the great names in the Bible. Also, perhaps someone you’ve known who has passed on could have been part of that group called the remnant. A friend or relative whom you remember that was always positive, patient, giving and had a heart filled with love for the Lord could be a good sign that they were possibly part of that group called the remnant.

The elect who are of the Gentiles are the non-Israelites of the world, which is basically the meaning of the word gentiles (= nations). They will reign with Christ as kings of their people.

This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 3:6)

(What about the queens? Why are God’s children always referred to in the male gender? It is only on earth in this physical existence where gender resides. In heaven, there is no gender because there’s no need to procreate. God has already created all His children and He’s a Grandfather to no one. There aren’t any old people or babies either because everyone’s basically the same age and that age would be equivalent to the prime years of our earthly existence.)

In the second outer circle, Israel is infected by the Kenites (the ones destined to be the descendants of Cain) who deceived Israel into believing Lucifer would be a better ruler than God or at least into believing they could exist without God’s help.

God’s plan of redemption is to get Israel back from the Deceiver.

After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. (Revelation 7:9)

To those who are God’s elect, this is what God the Lord Says - he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it: I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. (Isaiah 42:5-7)

This second earth is a hardcopy of the first. Everyone will be their own evidence to the way they were. The elect are the only ones who don’t have complete free will. Their lives are guided by the Lord to help complete His plan. He will make sure that they are where they’re supposed to be, when they’re supposed to be there. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) Like Satan is already judged to die, the elect are already judged righteous because of their fight against Lucifer and his army in the first earth. Does this mean that Christ died for everybody’s sins but the elect’s? For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (Romans 5:6) It’s the blood of Jesus Christ which covers the believer’s sins acquired in this sinful world. Without the Price paid on the Cross, there would be no afterlife for anyone. The Nephilim blew it when they came to earth in Noah’s time. The angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their own home - these He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. (Jude :6) The rest of the people are to be tested. Those directly involved in the rebellion, other than the remnant, will be living in the flesh when the Anti-Christ comes to earth to deceive the children of God again. The angels (Nephilim) referred to in Jude:6 will be released when the Anti-Christ makes his introduction to the world. It will appear at that time like Jesus is returning with a host of angels with him; only he’s the impostor.

So, other than the elect, everyone else has complete free will. They have the free will to make the same choices they made the first time around. Will they make the same choices? The chances are great that they will. Those that will overcome during the time of the Anti-Christ, but didn’t overcome the first time around are written about in chapter seven of the book of Revelation. The first-fruits of the first earth are the elect. It’s through the elect whom God uses to spiritually put a seal in the foreheads of the 144,000 of Israel, who are the first-fruits of this second earth. (Jesus is the First-fruit of both groups.) Remember now, it is God who opens the eyes to see and accept truth, not men. Study His Word and pray for understanding.

The seal in the forehead is knowledge. The Israelites didn’t just paint the blood of the lamb on their door-posts because they all simultaneously had hunch it might work to protect them against the angel of death, neither was it a tradition to do so. They had to have been given this knowledge of what to do. Do you know what to do at the time of the end of this age? Do you even care?

Although this section of the elect is really just an analogy, the essence of this idea is true. This concept to understanding who the elect are is not (as far as I know), taught in any theological schools.

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:24-28)

Maybe this idea will help to grasp the concept of this second earth age: Imagine the first earth as a single play in a football game and the second earth is the replay of that play. In the first earth that play happened all at once but in the second earth, we can slow the play down and play it over and over again. Each time (or each Day) we can focus on individual pieces of that play. The first time we watch it we may look at everything that happened with the quarterback. The second time we’ll concentrate on the runningbacks. Then, in another review, we can get a close-up look on the line and the action at the snap of the ball. Everything that happened in the first earth happens again and again stretched out over time in the second earth. This is the reason for His Story repeating itself over the ages. However, just before the Anti-Christ comes to the earth, using the analogy of the instant replay, the play is started back from the beginning and viewed all at once to completion; with all the patterns of history included and intensified and just in case you’re wondering, the final playback has already started.

(God gives all people life and breath and everything else. When we meet our Maker, we will see that we cannot take credit for anything good we have done. We will see in all our proud accomplishments that He did everything through us and that it was only by His Grace that He gave those accomplishments.)

Predestination

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5)

Listen to me, you islands; hear this you distant nations: Before I was born the Lord called me; from my birth He has made mention of my name. He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of His hand He hid me; He made me into a polished arrow and concealed me in His quiver. (Isaiah 49:1-2)

For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will - to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. (Ephesians 1:4-6)

In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will. (Ephesians 1:11)

For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers. And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. (Romans 8:29-30)

When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me; but you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning. (John 15:26-27)

...The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because he once was, now is not, and yet will come. (Revelation 17:8)

What can I say to prevent those who haven’t been written in the book of life from the creation of the world from being astonished? Nothing, it is written, it will be done. If you haven’t been written in the book, there’s nothing I can say, nor anyone else to make you believe. If the shoe fits, you will be deceived. Any arguments in this matter are futile.

All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. He who has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints. (Revelation 13:8-10)

By the way, the word ‘saint’ simply put, means set aside. These are the children of God whom He has, not man or the institutions of mankind, set aside in accordance to His plan. People do not make saints, God does and He made them when He wrote their names in the Lamb’s Book of Life before they were born from above, when this second earth began. The saints are set aside and are not included into the three thirds of the children of God. Also, whenever it says in God’s Word, "for who has an ear, let him hear," or "for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear..." God is telling His elect to pay attention, meditate and pray for understanding on the deeper meaning of these thoughts and ideas so that they can be prepared when these things come to pass.

The First Will Be Last

The important thing to remember here is that this physical reality is not the real or main reality. There’s more than the human eye can see. The true reality is the spiritual reality and this physical reality was reorganized and fashioned for God’s heavenly children to pass through. Everything in this physical universe is symbolic of the many lessons the Lord wants to teach us. For instance, the size of this physical universe is symbolic of all there is to learn in a life-time through eternity. In the spiritual reality we do not have to rely on the sun’s energy, we have the Lord. The sun is the Lord’s temporary substitute until His plan for mortal mankind is finished. The moon, like Lucifer, is the great imitator of the Light. What light it has is only a reflection and does not provide and sustain life as the sun. For the earth, two thirds of it is covered with water and in a way, the earth is the opposite of heaven. The remaining one third is like the fallen one-third in heaven; dried up and raised (by their pride) above the sea (of people).

The best way I can think of to explain this concept is to imagine progress in reverse and as I think about it, it makes sense. It’s like God created the first group of children around Him and they were the city of God. Then God created more children around them and they were the suburbs. Then more children around those and they were the countryside.

The children in the city were more complex than those in the countryside. Not that they were better or smarter, just that they were created with different interests than those in the countryside. A broad example could be that someone in the city likes to make light bulbs while someone in the countryside likes to make candles. The candle-maker could make light bulbs if he wanted but he finds pleasure in making candles. That’s because the way God created the candle-maker was to be perfectly happy in making candles. Basically, the further from the center, the more simple-minded the children were. But the simple-minded spirit far exceeds the sophisticated mind of a modern mortal human being. Remember now, I’m trying to explain the things of the spirit using the things of this physical universe in order to relate a concept. Take away technology and we’re still the same as the ancient civilizations; with the same basic desires.

In the pictures above, I try to continue the first larger picture of outward growth.I’m trying to show how the first will be last and the last first. The outside circle bowls up over the center, connects, then is drawn into the pyramid. The youngest of God’s heavenly children are drawn into this earth (represented by the pyramid) first, while the oldest of God’s children will be last to pass through this earth.
